First Sackville Presbyterian Church is a community oriented Christian church that presents its services and programs in accordance with the policies, practices, standards and direction of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.
The Session is the governing body of the church and is responsible for all aspects of stewardship and mission, both spiritual and material within the congregation. They work closely with the Board of Managers who are responsible for managing the financial affairs and property management for the congregation. We have a number of groups and committees, including the Atlantic Mission Society, Ladies Guild, Congregational Life and Outreach, Christian Education and Worship and Pastoral Care. We also have an active Sunday School for children aged 3 – 12 and our choir adds to our worship services.
First Sackville Presbyterian supports a number of local projects and is a proud sponsor of Beacon House, an organization that provides food bank services to the community and sells used clothing and household items to help support its service programs. (For more information about their programs and our participation in them, visit our Beacon House page.)
